Kirsty models the plan for my next tattoo. Singlespeed road bikes aren’t the most appropriate bikes to take to the Lake District. Kirsty’s 42:16 was hardly appropriate and my 44:16 was just plain silly.

For all that we like the up-to-the minute offerings of the web there‚s nothing like a proper badly photocopied A5 fanzine or a glossily printed proper magazine to keep you occupied on the throne. Here, in no particular order, is our material of choice.
In the UK as we give away our civil liberties in the name of freedom it might be handy to be aware of Photographers Rights.

I know. We had planned that it would be nice and flat around the shores of each lake with just a few ‘little’ climbs between Spark Bridge and Newby Bridge in the south, and between Ambleside and Coniston in the north. I can’t believe how much the road alongside Windermere actually goes up and down.
