Spot Whats Wrong

First of all read this report on the BBC:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/cycling/7475579.stm

Then ponder the wording of this particular paragraph…

Brailsford masterminded Britain’s nine gold medals at the track cycling world championships in March this year, and followed that up with three gold medals at last weekend’s mountain bike worlds.

I’d love to know if this wording is a BBC numptie giving away their lack of understanding of the sport or this is a thoughtless repeat of some BCF press release where they try to steal the credit for our success at the MTB Worlds.

The BCF has less than nothing to do with that success.

Update

This is not the result of the BBC merely repeating a misleading BCF press release. Jonathon O’Neil (Team GB press officer) has confirmed that the wording did not come from the BCF. So it just confirms - along with all their mispronunciations of Tour riders names - that the BBC report on cycling without actually understanding what they are reporting on. Which means that the BBC doesn’t have the understanding to ask the probing questions that should be asked, especially of the BCF.

Ah your wrong there. They force them to wear skinsuits which is obviously faster.
Oh and they pick the riders :0)

Thank you. I’ve been thinking something similar for a while now. Surely it’s the talent of the riders that is due the credit for their success, and not this guy.

    Only under duress.
