Storm In A Teacup

A whole shitstorm has kicked off over on MTBR here and here (careful - it’s slow as slow thing these days), about the SSWC08.

Looks like Curtiss et al did a great job of weeding out the undesirables to me. Some of the comments being thrown their way are clear indications that the protaginists are the sort of whiny pussies that singlespeeding could do without.

Toys. Cot.

Good Luck with a great event Curtiss :)

Yeah, it’s all a bit mental really. Does make quite amusing reading though and the event itself will be great.

  2. Nick Says:

    It will always be great.

Good to see you got in.

    It’s a truly great (pair of) thread(s).

I feel for the organisers though, they’ve got enough to worry about then get idiots planning to turn up and try to race regardless (the 351 plate thing) and some muppet appearing to threaten legal action because he never got in.

Then there’s the auto form submissions using atomic clocks to time them right….jebus….. :-)

Which just goes to show that first come first served is a rubbish way of choosing people.

If it was me I’d take a deposit with each entry, ask on the entry form if you’ll whinge if you don’t get in, and if you tick Yes then straight away you’re out. If you tick No and then do whinge within two weeks of being rejected then I’d keep your deposit.
