Driving Blinkers
Last week the car was in for some repairs after it was hit by a dog. Yes, you did read that right. Not hit a dog. Hit by a dog.
Anyway, back to the point. In lieu of car I commuted to work on two wheels instead, risking life and limb on autumn leaf mulch on the Firestorm.
Turns out that the real danger wasn’t 110bhp and more torque than a train on damp roads but cagers out on foot. Bright red bike, headlight on, can be heard from the other side of the docks. You’d think that people would notice. Yet still two pedestrians decided to step out in front of me, jumping back for their lives at the last second. I’d happily wager that both of them were drivers who had finally found another use for their feet.

See Spot the Dog.
Run Spot Run.
See Spot Run.
See the Car Driving.
Drive Car Drive.
Look Out Spot!
See Spot’s Hit the Car Head First.
Crash!
Dents in both drivers side doors from dogs’ head and tail end as it whipped round. Not just the sort you could pop out with a plunger but proper metal creased efforts.
Fortunately the dog was alright, but a fraction of a second sooner and it would all have been very messy.
