Where’s the Frost?
The lack of frost this autumn only struck me when someone pointed out that it’s a year since we were riding out in deep frosts in the Peak District for Bamfest.
No frost yet this year, instead we’ve had a couple of merely chilly mornings.
And rain of biblical proportions.
I’m not sure if I’m looking forward to a change. At least less shit gets thrown up when it’s frosty.

I had to scrape ice off my car a couple of weeks ago but then I had got up stupidly early to take some photos (which ended up being rubbish). I’m waiting for some nice snow to ride in :)

Yep - a year to the day, Nick!
We had a hard frost down here last night - but sadly not hard enough to firm up the mud! I was out before 0700 today to reconnoitre part of the route for the next STW magazine.
Bliss to ride on your own with only the wildlife for company ;-)

Been frosty here a few mornings and it certainly was this morning making it an ‘interesting’ start to todays ride.

I’m looking forward to the reappearance of our winter barn owl.
