Singlespeed Cross
It was remarked that doing the Three Peaks on singlespeed was mad. Chapeau then to Samuri for riding it fixed. Another Pompino - obviously a man of wealth and taste :-)
Years of singlespeeding have taught me the value of momentum and how to preserve it, and I didn’t need 52×12 to clocked 45 mph heading towards Ingleton from Cold Cotes.
For traditionalists these photos of French cyclo-crossers from the 1920’s and 30’s by Aldo Ross should dispel the notion that gears are required.
