Sprains Suck

While walking the dogs in the dark on Friday night at Twentyfour12 I tripped in a hole and twisted my left ankle pretty bad.

It didn’t hurt during the race, and it’s not stopped me riding, but it’s now really really started to niggle.

I pulled my yard boots off the other day and with the swelling the boot had gotten hold of my foot so darn tight that it just stretched everything, made me wince like a girl, and has set recovery right back.

There’s no doubt about it, age is creeping up on me. Even Punkass told me I was looking distinguished at last nights ride.

Swap you for my knee Nick ;) How’s that Flux? I was hankering after Tim’s bargain one as well but it’s too small for me. I’m trying to reconcile a conversation in my head with Carol that starts off “you know I said I wasn’t going to buy any more bikes?”.

    It’s not going well :(

Sprain still sore more than a week later. Cycling is fine, driving hurts like hell.

The Flux is a fantastic bike, especially for UK trails. Shame that the one in Sideways is sold.

bummer. My leg still hurts majorly a week after I slammed it down. Getting old sucks big time, recovery from injuries slowing down is one of the worst parts.

That and growing hair in weird places and people not taking you seriously anymore.

A dogs dinner of links to stuff that we have arranged in an apparently random manner, though I assure you it made sense at the time.
