Losers
There are always some folk who have a whinge about some aspect of twenty four hour racing.
The course was too easy/too hard/too dangerous/too flat/too hilly.
The weather was too hot/too wet.
I’ve never come across a moral whinge before.
“It seems that a lot of the mixed teams who did well had their weakest rider (generally their female rider) doing far less laps than everyone else. I know there’s nothing in the rules to stop this, but does anyone else think it’s a bit off? It just doesn’t sit quite right with me somehow.”
Looks to me like someone is either genuinely concerned about the ethics of mixed team strategy at SSMM, or a “Hey! Everybody look at me I rode as hard as the men on my team” attention seeker. If it’s the former then oh dear, I’ve bitten.
News Just In
It’s a race. Results are decided by the team with most laps not the one with the most ‘ethical’ team policy.
Get off the moral high ground and accept that you were LOSERS.
Sounds like we need some of the heckling from the weekend.
Stop for beer. You are not winning. Whatever you may think, your team have abandoned you. They will make you do another lap.
