End of an Era

Bye Bye Maudsley horsebox, hello Kevin Parker replacement.

Yes, the old girl that has carried not just the horses but a stable full of mountain bikes to races all over England, and up into Scotland is for sale.

She’s showing her age on the long distance runs and we’ve just picked up a replacement. Kirsty did a wonderful job of speccing a vehicle that will not only take the three horses, but doubles up as race vehicle too. So we get hot/cold running water, a shower, a loo, stabling for five bikes, and external lights for nighttime repairs.

The Maudsley did her final run on Wednesday last, bringing the horses back safely from a local competition. We picked up the new box on Thursday and headed straight down to Mayhem in her. She* has a lot to live up to.

* or is it a he? Kirsty is already calling the new box Kevin.
