Sense Seen
An update to the story of the Dales Biking Centre Bid Opposed.
Yesterday the National Park planning committee gave it the thumbs up, just, by a vote of 9 to 8.
Good news, but, and there’s always a but, this is only a preliminary verdict.
The Committee have until July 11 to stew over all the evidence submitted, yesterday was just the dealine for submitting evidence. It’s unlikely that it will be turned down now, but don’t hold your breath as the Yorkshire Dales Society and the Council for the Protection of Rural England will no doubt be sending out unfavourable more press-releases to the local press.
Apparently the YDS originally had worries about the viability of the project and are now concerned that it is too big you have to wonder about their mental stability.
Well done and good luck to Stuart Price and his wife. The riding round there is lovely - if a little short of trees.
