Seems that you can have an effect if you complain to the right people.

As of today the local Safety Partnership speed camera that parked not quite in but stupidly close to the local cycle lane is being replaced by a motorcyclist.

So, my next mission is to find out why these people have the power to stop and fine a speeding motorist, but not the power to do anything about a trader who keeps parking his wares in the cycle lane. If I make my problem their problem for long enough maybe they’ll act on that one too.

    Thank fk for that, the LEP still havent printed the article i made with the pictures etc. Must send an email and have a rant about it…

    Should be at PETTS on Tuesday, got the new Kona road bike and… and…. aero bars!! I still have time atac pedals though so am officially not a roadie.

    I’m at the LCC cycle liaison meeting on Tuesday, so will be missing PETTs this week.

    Ask the editor of the LEP how many speeding points he’s got.
