One Less Plane
Let’s all just forget One Less Car for a second.
Aviation is the fastest growing source of CO2 emissions in the world, and exempt from any limits.
Can you spot what’s wrong with this quote about the Airbus A380?
“It’s an efficient and clean and environmentally friendly aircraft, and it has lower fuel consumption per seat, and produces less noise and emissions than older aircraft, and for airports it should increase their ability to handle passengers”
David Gamper, Airports Council International.
Now for the science. According to the Institute for Public Policy Research one return trip from the UK to Florida releases as much CO2 per passenger as one years driving, and it releases it higher into the atmosphere where it can do more damage.
FFS it may be a technological marvel, but let’s not pretend it’s environmentally friendly. It’s just marginally less of an environmental vandal.

I partially agree, but best not comment!
