Snow, finally
We finally had snow yesterday. So far the weather has been passing to the South of us. It was proper powder snow too, so cold that it burns while you’re making snowballs. And what snowballs. The sort that explode on impact. The local kids have rolled a huge snowball in the park, though they’ve not yet turned it into a snowman.
It years since we’ve had enough snow to go out for a night ride in it. I love riding in the snbow at night. The whiteness of the snow doubles your lighting power for free.
I set off East heading along the South side of the river bank, hoping to catch the lights of the city across the river. Unfortunately by the time I went out a freezing fog had descended so the only special effect was the diffusing of the sodium light pollution.
Descending through the parks later I started to get the tell-tale judder under braking of a loose headset. Unfortunately my Syncros headcap turned into cheese in the cold and rather than tighten up the bolt has simply pulled through.
More spares needed :(
