Thomson on Flickr
I’m probably one of the few people around who still prefers hinged stems. It’s an aesthetics thing. Tell me that the proper made in Canada (eh!) Syncros hinged stems and the old style Easton EA70 hinged stem aren’t more beautiful than the current fashion for faceplate stems.
So, when pondering what to put on the new Turner I was a bit stuck. Fortunately Tim stocks Thomson parts. These are just the downright neatest faceplate stems you can buy. Four smaller bolts makes a neater setup than two bigger ones straining at the leash.
Which reminded me that about a month ago I stumbled on some pictures on flickr of a Thomson factory tour.
What a fantastically extravagant use of metal.
