New TNT Turner
1996. Turner Twin Burner.
2001. Turner Burner.
2006. Turner ?
It must be a five year thing. And the answer to the question is? Five Spot. Yep, a new TNT* link black anodized beauty.
Do I care about the missing Horst link? Not really. It’s still a Turner. Brand loyalty? Damn right. For hardtails I’m torn between Spot and Dave Yates, with the Canadians currently leading 3-2. It could go to penalties before the full time whistle. For full-suspension? After an all too brief foray into the world of Maverick I am firmly back in the Turner camp. At the risk of name-dropping meeting the makers (or at least the guys who put the thought into designing them) plays no small part in my choices.
The fact that it’s Sideways Tim that sells three out of the four brands above is also a consideration. Thanks are due to him today for being patient while I umm-ed and ahh-ed before Kirsty twisted my arm. Not too hard mind. And then he stayed open late to fit a headset and face all the necessary surfaces.
It’s going to be a while before I get too ride it as I’ll need to strip one of the other bikes to build it up.
I love it already.

Three Turners surely qualifies you for some type of “Turner Lover” badge :)
I can’t wait to see it built up.
