Bamfest 2.0 - Chicken

Yet more evidence that iPods do appear to contain some form of sentience. Today it started playing Augustus Pablo as soon as DaveA entered the room, only to follow it with some very sweary Limp Bizkit for Merlinman, officially the worlds sweariest man.

Temperatures had risen a little today which didn’t stop everyone holding off from setting out. We stuck to sunlit hillsides today, meaning we sweated up the climbs and managed to not quite freeze on the way back down. We were blighted with punctures tho - I counted at least five.

We finally managed to reach the top of the hill (and fix another puncture) for some stunning views. All that remained was to descend into Hope and make for the cafe. Except for five minutes as photo gimp for SteveM riding off some rock ledges. I cocked up the first ledge on my first run and ended up taking the chicken run. Even Biff had done a better job.

So I went back and did it again. This time I forgot to breathe, but at least I managed the step.

Next thing you know we’re back at the bunkhouse and people are leaving. The dilemma of these things is always having to rush to get back somewhere for some ultimately unimportant deadline verus hanging round with a bunch of mates that you get to see all too infrequently.

Still, we can relive it on the forums tomorrow where our exploits will turn into myths.

A dogs dinner of links to stuff that we have arranged in an apparently random manner, though I assure you it made sense at the time.

For all that we like the up-to-the minute offerings of the web there‚s nothing like a proper badly photocopied A5 fanzine or a glossily printed proper magazine to keep you occupied on the throne. Here, in no particular order, is our material of choice.
