Unhappy Anniversary

Today is the anniversary of the theft of my Maverick, Fan. And the roofrack she was locked to.

Originally I was pretty hopeful Fan would be found. After all there was no other Real Tree Maverick knocking about in the UK at the time. Even more unusually she was a Maverick without Maverick forks.

Sadly after a year I’m giving up hope. Even if she has been found I have no faith in the British Police to actually return her.

Singletrack occasionally runs a story about the reunion of stolen bikes and their owners.

Here’s hoping that Fan is one of them.
