Black Diamond
As I posted a few days ago Tim Sideways recently sold me some Scotchlite Black Diamond.
Camera has now been duly connected to the old computer thingy and images uploaded.
As you can see from these shots of the flames going on there’s quite a difference between ambient daylight and full on flash.

Before

After
Well, more kind of during, really.
The top tube has been given a similar treatment and my wife - who is concerened about little things like my safety when commuting in the dark - gives the final effect a thumbs up.
The smooth finish of the Scothclite really does show up how bad my paint job is looking these days. Then again it is six years old and has done all bar one Mountain Mayhem, every Sleepless In The Saddle, ect ect…

Yeah, that *does* look good!
Is the Black Diamond stuff significantly less bright than the Scotchlite stickers that lock white under daylight or is it pretty much the same? I have read in a couple of places that it was a bit duller, but I couldn’t work out whether it would be a meaningful amount or not.

It’s a bit less bright than standard ScotchLite but not much.
