I must admit to being very dispassionate about the recent Indian Ocean tsunami. Unlike 9/11 which sparked disbelief that in the 21st century people could still treat other in a manner more reminiscent of the Spanish Inquisition this was a totally natural disaster. Part of the cycle of life.

The recent crash of an RAF Hercules in Iraq meantime with the loss of 10 lives has me wondering about the whereabouts of a mountain biking acquaintance who just happens to fly Hercs. Here’s hoping he’s OK.
