Bleeding Weather

40mph winds with gusts of 80mph are keeping me grounded today. Local roads blocked by fallen trees. Not that they block the road to someone who can pick up their vehicle and climb over them. But I don’t fancy being under one when it goes. I should be out on a four hour ride somewhere. If the weather was fine I’d be dragging my feet. Taking ages to shower. Select clothes. Fill bottles. Check Camelback. Fiddle with helmet straps. Find some socks that don’t have holes in them. I can faff with the best of them before I finally kick the tyres and light the fires.

Because I’m forced not to ride I’m frustrated and crabby.

Here’s to better weather tomorrow.
