There goes the database… [updated]

Looks like I’ll have to do a restore from backup this evening.
Update
I’ve since discovered that the site had suffered a WordPress hack to the theme so I have decided on a fresh start. I’m not restoring the database, and right now I’m working on a site redesign and a more secure site installation.

Are you not restoring the database because of the hack? This particular hack was actually in your theme, so deleting the database wouldn’t get rid of it and restoring it wouldn’t bring it back.

The decision not to restore the database was taken because every now and then we make a clean start with the site and sweep away the cobwebs.
Once I needed to take a look at my theme I decided this was as good a time as any.
